Statistical Car Data (SCD)

Statiscal Car Data (SCD) is a data processing service, developed by DATA E, since 1993, targeted at the automotive sector.

We process and analyze the property registration data from the Vehicle Registration Offices on a monthly basis.

We develop algorithms that add value to primary data, particularly in the analysis of the Rent-A-Car (RAC) and Operational Lease/Renting markets, which provide a more accurate view of the distribution of new and used light vehicle sales in the national territory."

The types of data available in property registrations are:

  • Light vehicles - New
    • Primary data
    • Processed data
  • Light vehicles - Used
    • Primary data

The processed data includes the identification and removal of RAC data and the geographical redistribution of Operational Lease/Renting data.

The available variables in the primary data for new and used light vehicles are:

  • Vehicle type (Passenger/Commercial)
  • Brand
  • Model
  • Segment
  • Engine capacity
  • Energy
  • Year of the vehicle
  • Owner type (Individual/Company)
  • Registration month
  • District
  • Municipality
  • Postal code (4 digits)

The available variables in the processed data for new light vehicles are:

  • Vehicle type (Passenger/Commercial)

  • Registration month

  • Postal code (4 digits)

The data can be made available in various formats:

  • Text files that can be imported into various data analysis platforms for clients who have their own platform.
  • Static PDF reports and dynamic spreadsheet reports designed according to client needs.

  • Given the nature of the data, which includes geographical information down to the postal code level, this data can be used with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
